Morning! Guess what, it's time for a layout update! [obviously...] Here's version 2.0, I named it "Double Grooves" for some reason... it's a long story. But anyway, green-black color theme, minimalistic box-styled design, plus architecture images... hope everyone likes it... And Keller, it's not an anime design anymore... ^_~

So, like it? Hate it? or just want to say how much you love me? Tell me... on the comment section! [which is renamed as "Reactions", I had quite a bit fun with that section ^^]

Oh, and added the Layout and Links page, have fun with them!

one burning question that needs to be answered in haste! [thanx to Nathania for that title ^^]

We need a group name... like Keller mentioned... a while ago. Anyway, I rele need this, since I'm making the second version of the layout... [thank you very much ^_~] and I need the group name so I can put a proper disclaimer at the bottom of our page [as in watermarked]... So anyone? Any ideas? I don't want to list everybody's name on there... *measuring how many px that'll take*

Well anyway, like I said 5 seconds ago... I'm making the second layout, and it's going to be non-anime, and a sorry note to Nathania, I ran out of time to find any Twilight picture or what-the-other-guy's-name-was picture...It's going to be about architecture...and color theme is green-and-black...

Summer days sure are lazy, and apparently I actually got assigned work to do by my mom... *sigh* But the good thing is that we have finally decided our vacation spot: the Boston area. And I get to go on college tours too! [though my mom would probably ruin half of my vacation by spending five hours a day chit-chatting with her friends around that area or taking me shopping. ugh...]

New Manga Style

I know, I know. All of my posts have been just about completely manga related. It's my current goal. So, here's a second style I mixed a few different types of eye styles from a video I saw, and changed the nose. I also made her appear younger and different hair. This is just another type of drawing. I love the eyes in this though, especially the shine mixed with the new type of shading. ( It's cross hatching.) I think it makes for a lighter, less serious style of character. I've got quite a few more ideas too. Hopefully, by this weekend, I'll have inking pens and some paper, along with the scanner cords so that I can do this more easily. I hope you guys like the new style. Comments?

Regarding the New Layout

The layout FINALLY worked... and hope it looks fine. It took me and Aqua so long to figure out what went wrong since only the homepage and archives looked normal... and guess what Aqua? You know what went wrong? I screwed up on the date section. No kidding, the DATE section... Blogger is so weird... I still don't get how it screwed up bc I didn't do the date section right... Well, just in case , I did added "entry starts here" on their... just in case that Blogger was too stupid to realize that the entry starts here. ^^

Ok, enough ranting about the problem w/ the layout... so I shall list the images on the header in case anyone is curious:

The very very back of the header are snowflakes... but I doubt if anyone can see it. [oh, and if u can, comment on this entry and tell me where. Pleaz?]
The background images from left to right: someone playing a cello, the family portrait of the English Tudors, a Fruits Basket image.
On the front... there's... um, obviously Zac Efron from HSM... and the anime character from Air, right Aqua? [I don't rele know since I just saved right from the Google image search... and u won't believe what my keyword was... it was "stand in the rain - anime"... the background of this image was a clear sky before I erased it... o.O]
Subheader: Momiji from Fruits Basket on the left... and a group of colorful violins ^^ [It's my fav. image out of all... ]
Footer: Sakura from CCS and the same group of Violins. ^^

I need advice on the style. I was hoping this worked. No, I don't have the plot line yet. So, take the text in this picture for what you see it as.

I was thinking about changing the font. I have a LOT of drawing to do. I think I'll do a page a week, because it's a LOT of work.

Besides, I kind of don't have any paper at the moment. Tear. I'll try to find those cords to my scanner and a good inking pen to save time. Hey, once I get this comic started, you guys should subscribe! If you want. Not forcing. Hahaha. Anyways, comment and tell me what you think pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase.

Beginning Update: Actually, I just thought of a wonderful plot line. And therefore, I introduce yet another new character! Her joints are funny, well, because she's a doll!

Yeah, this was done with PicNik.com , a drawing book , and a paint program. Oh, and who could forget my camera phone?

Well, I'm fairly sure the titled of my manga will be " Bless." I can't wait to start. I'll be sketching out the other characters, and I'll probably upload it to my FreeWebs site!

Hey, guys! This is my new character for a manga I'm starting! Sorry the quality isn't grand.... It involved a sketch, my phone camera, and a lot of time filling white specks on paint. Well, I'll be posting up a link to the online web comic when ever I get this scanner working and some paper to draw with!

What do you guys think of the picture anyways? Comments are appreciated! I really wanted to detail it more.... But.... Very time consuming! I hope to get a Wacom Cintiq! That should make things a lot easier when I decide to draw online comic pages! Hope you guys like it! Yayness. Oh, hey, also, I haven't decided on a name for this character, but I should soon. Haha. Well, since HL is officially started, I shall make my first entry here! ^^ After a half of morning's work, I'm pretty satisfied with Codename. [We really need to decide on a shortened version of the name... I mean, I already called it like 3 different names...] And yay for Hayley joining! ^^ Ok... I'm kinda out of things to say already... though my life is kinda boring anyway...

Howdy, this is Wind... and T [who still needs a nickname...] sitting beside me... but now she doesn't rele know that I'm actually posting this on my computer ^^... Anyway... I would like to declare the birth of Codename: Hills & Lunches! As for why Hills & Lunches, that's a codename for us! ^^ This is kinda like fate... since T and I had the same idea at the same time ^^... ok, no need to get sentimental here...

So... I shall start explaining what Hills & Lunch is: a community where we post things about our life... exchange idea... and stay connected. Unlike Facebook, which we all have, this community allow us to have space to narrate each of our different lifes... [this sounds so formal... ugh!] And of course... do post ur homework problems here too^^... after all, we do have two math people and loads of language people here ^_~...

Since I mentioned on the rules section that I'll further explain the label sections... so here it its! ^^

Labels for Dummies ^^

It's not rele hard... but just an extra step to do before you click "Publish Post" every time and you'll save the people who organize this blog a lot of headaches ^^

Where to find the label section: It's at the bottom right corner of the page where you post new things.

So here are the details:

Tag your name every time you post an entry... so the post will appear on your individual archives.
Besides your name, tag something that summarize your post, or at least part of it. For example: Everyday life, Rants, School, Manga, Movie, Music, etc.
Please do not duplicate... like Rant and Rants... only one is ok ^^
It's the best to keep your labels really general... but if something [for example: High School Musical] keep popping up in our entries... we can have it specifically separated
If you still have no idea what's going on, add something about it on the Tagboard.

Oks... here's the info about this place.

Q: What Are We?

A: Um... as the intro said, we are a community that blog about our different lives, exchange informations/ knowledges of all sorts, share interests, and stay connected.

Q: Why that funky name?

A: Ok... I shall explain our name here! Codename... [no problem w/ that?] As the title said, Hills & Lunches are codename for members of the community! ^^ Hills is a shortened version of a certain school that most of our charter members knew very well^^... and as for Lunch... that's really the place that brought most of us together... hence, Codename: Hills & Lunches. As for the subtitle: 7th Period is a Secret, this community is almost like an additional 7th period of our life... [um... Keller? TGA only have 6 periods, right?] and we want to keep this community as a secret way for us to connect and also the community is limited to certain numbers of member... so it's a secret between us! ^_~

Q: When did Hills & Lunch first start?

A: Um... HL started only recently on June 10th... when Wind and T suddenly had the same idea in their heads and decided to put it up and many friends gathered up at HL. ^_~

Q: How do I become a member?

A: To join, click on the "Join Us" section for the complete info. But here's a condensed version: You are not required to know any of us here, but it's the best if you do. To join, contact any of the members on the "About Us" sections that is an admin [all Charter members are] via whatever means they listed... and usually within a week, you'll get a reply to further complete the process. ^^ [To all Charter Members: if u have joined ans is still listed as an AUTHOR, contact Wind immediately for a change.]

Q: Is there any requirement for joining?

A: No, there really isn't one. You don't have to know any of us, but it'd be better if you do... And it'd be also good if you share some common interest with some of us. ^^ Click on our profiles to check ^^

Q: Do I have to post everyday?

So, I was really in the mood for a layout update yesterday after getting my personal blog and web-portfolio's layouts done... and I'm also really enjoying one-columns, so here's version 2.0 of HL. Um, like I mentioned on a earlier post, didn't have time to pick out images... so I just used some architecture images from one of my image folders. Well, it didn't turn out to be that bad... in fact, I was actually quite fond of the image on the avatar... -.-' As for the design, I just decided to use boxes since I could come up with a better idea. [Already used up all the good ones for all the other layouts -.-'] Well, hopefully everyone likes it, and check out my other layouts too! ^^

Ok, enough ramblings, need to update some new pages! ^_~

The layout is up! ^^ Usually I don't finish an entire layout in one day... so this one came out pretty simple... [I did had the idea in mind for a while now though...a layout idea, I mean] So I decided on a dark blue and white color theme... since it's always a good match.^^ And layout itself was quite troublesome, and thanks to Aqua for some help. ^^ So enjoy the new layout. There'll be a Current/Past Layout page to be added tomorrow. I've already taken screenshots. ^^ And all mis-formatted pages are corrected too.
